Hardware

Real quantum computers. Not simulators.

bb84 circuits run on real quantum processors in the cloud, through IBM Quantum and Amazon Braket. Every job's circuit hash, backend and result hash are recorded on Solana.

Already run: real jobs, settled on Solana

  • Quantum randomness on IBM. Random bits measured on ibm_fez through IBM Quantum, committed and revealed on Solana devnet, and checked by a public script.
  • GHZ-5 on Rigetti. A five-qubit entangled state run on Rigetti Cepheus-1-108Q through Amazon Braket. The counts were scored on-chain by the bb84 circuit simulator (fidelity 0.70), and forged counts were rejected on-chain.

How we use it

  • Four technologies. Superconducting (IBM, Rigetti, IQM), trapped ion (IonQ, AQT) and neutral atoms (QuEra). QuEra Aquila is analog and doesn't run gate circuits.
  • Many shots, one job. Randomness is batched into a single job with many shots, so one QPU run serves many requests.
  • Checked on-chain. Results are scored by bb84's on-chain circuit simulator, a classical check of the counts a QPU returned.

Availability as of October 27, 2026 status and queues change constantly. Hardware access through IBM Quantum and Amazon Braket. bb84 isn't affiliated with or endorsed by IBM, Amazon, Rigetti, IQM, IonQ, AQT or QuEra.
