Quantum Gateway
Status: In design · Group: Quantum infrastructure
Run a circuit on a real quantum computer from your Solana wallet.
Today, running a circuit on a quantum computer means a cloud account, a credit card and vendor SDKs. The Gateway lets a Solana user, program or AI agent pay from a wallet instead, in USDC. The program pays out only for results that pass on-chain checks.
Flow: from request to settlement
- Request. You send the circuit, shot count, the QPU you want and a USDC payment. The payment goes into an escrow account with the circuit hash.
- Run. The gateway relayer submits that exact circuit to the QPU through Amazon Braket or IBM Quantum.
- Deliver. The relayer posts a bb84 proof receipt (job ID hash, backend, circuit hash, counts hash) and the counts.
- Check. The gateway program checks on-chain that the circuit is the one paid for, the counts match the receipt, and the score is above the threshold you set.
- Settle. If every check passes, escrow pays the relayer. If a check fails or nothing arrives before the deadline, you reclaim your funds.
Honest about trust: what Solana checks
- The circuit that ran is the one that was paid for
- The counts are the ones the receipt records
- The counts score as shown (fidelity / XEB)
- Payment is released only if all of that holds
Not proven on-chain: that the job ran on quantum hardware. The relayer is trusted on that, and small circuits can be simulated classically.
The on-chain checker is a classical circuit simulator. It checks QPU results; it is not quantum computing on Solana.
Who it's for: quantum access with only a wallet
| Audience | Why |
|---|---|
| Solana users | Real QPU access with only a wallet. No cloud account, card or vendor SDK. |
| Programs | A QPU result the chain has checked before your program acts on it. |
| AI agents | Pay per job with no API keys. |
| Researchers | Publish QPU results anyone can check in the explorer. |
Pricing
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Payment token | USDC |
| Gateway fee | {{GATEWAY_FEE}} |
| Price per shot / job | {{GATEWAY_PRICE_PER_JOB}} |
| Refund deadline | {{GATEWAY_DEADLINE}} |
Status: built on pieces that already work
The Gateway builds on bb84's on-chain circuit simulator and QPU job receipts, both running on Solana devnet.
Working today
- On-chain circuit simulator and scoring (qsim)
- QPU job receipts (bb84 proof)
- Submitting to and fetching from Amazon Braket
- Circuit converter from OpenQASM
- bb84 explorer
Building next
- Gateway program: request, escrow, deliver, refund
- Relayer service
- CLI and an explorer Gateway page
- CPI helper crate for other programs
- Blinks and agent payments
Hardware: 12 QPUs to choose from
Superconducting and trapped-ion processors through IBM Quantum and Amazon Braket. On-chain checking covers up to 11 qubits in one transaction, and up to 20 across transactions. See Hardware and the explorer at https://explorer.bb84.sh.
